Anticancer Effect of Diterpenes from Hedychium yunnanense

The in vivo anticancer activity of yunnancoronarin A(1),hecychenone(2),and crude extract of hedychium yunnanense was tested here.Result revealed that yunnancoronarin A,hecychenone and the crude extractl showed significant inhibitory effect on H22 tumor in ICR mice.Yunnancoronarin A had the strongest inhibitory effect,with the inhibitory ratio of 54.27%.Yunnancoronarin C(3) also showed strong anticancer effect on human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 in vitro.
