摘要
Objective To assess the validity of using fasting plasma glucose(FPG) and HbA1C for the screening of impaired glucose tolerance(IGT).Methods FPG,HbA1C and oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) were examined by 336 subjects. Results Using 1999 WHO criteria,124 subjects had normal FPG,56 subjects had impaired fasting glucose(IFG),there are 156 subjects whose FPG equal to or above 7.0;There are 84 subjects whose HbA1C less than 6.1 and 252 subjects equal to or above 6.1;92 subjects had normal OGTT 2hPG,99 subjects had IGT,145 subjects had diabetes. Conclusion FPG or HbA1c was not reliable identify IGT,but HbA1c was more sensitive than FPG in detecting abnormal plasma glucose.
