The isotherms and the amount of adsorption of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(SDBS) on quartz sand from solution with ethanol, NaOH or polyarcylic acid added as accessory for EOR are measured at 298K. The effects of the accessories on SDBS adsorption are discussed. The experimental data obtained as well as the experimental data published elswhere for systems of commercial alkylbenzene sulfonates and reservoir sand are correlated with a modified nonuniform surface two step adsorption model.
