the object of this study is to validate prediction ability of LISA+APTAB model using Rosin-Rammler distribution. For spray modeling, hybrid breakup models that are composed of primary and secondary breakup models that are composed of primary and secondary breakup model are considered. LISA model were used for primary breakup, and APTAB model were used for secondary breakup. The size distribution of droplets is calculated using X² cumulative distribution and Rosin-Rammler cumulative distribution. Spray development process, spray tip penetration, spray width, SMD (Sauter Mean Diameter) and axial velocity were computed using hybrid breakup models. Exciplex fluorescence method and PDA system were used to produce experimental data for model validation. Experiment and computation were performed at ambient pressure of 0.1 MPa & 1.0 MPa and ambient temperature of 293K. Comparison of computed with experimental results was carried out. It was found that LISA+APTAB model using Rosin-Rammler distribution has best prediction ability for calculation spray characteristics.
