摘要
Commercial applications of Pt-based oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts are limited by high cost and low stability. Here, microwave synthesis of ultralow loading Ru-Mo 2 C on carbon nanotube (CNT) as ORR catalyst that alleviates both these shortcomings is reported. Ru-Mo 2 C@CNT exhibited outstanding oxygen reduction reaction activity with a half-potential of 0.87 V and an onset potential of 0.94 V, as well as high stability and palmary anti- methanol capability in basic electrolyte. This Ru-Mo 2 C@CNT might be a promising alternative to Pt-based electrocatalysts in energy conversion and storage.
