ISOLATION OF ENAMMONIUM SALT AND ITS REARRANGEMENT TO THE CORRESPONDING IMINIUM SALT

Abstract 1-(β-Methylstyryl)-2-methylpiperidinium chloride was isolated and characterized. This is the first case of the isolation of the enammonium salt. The enammonium salt was found to change easily to the corresponding iminium salt at room temperature.
