In order to research the transferring effects of plant nutrient solution with the medium—polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven materials and polyester filament woven fabrics,according to the capillary effects,the wicking effects of polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven materials and polyester filament woven fabrics pretreated in different concentration of the hydrophilic liquid based on the wicking phenomenons of nonwoven materials and woven fabrics were investigated.The results showed that the wicking height of both polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven materials and polyester filament woven fabrics pretreated in the hydrophilic liquid whose concentration was 2∶1 000,the ratio of hydrophilic agent to deionized water,reached the maximum.And the wicking liquid weight absorbed by the polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven material not being calendered was heavier 15%than the polyester filament woven fabrics based on the same mass area density.Besides that,the recycle transferring effects of polyester nonwoven materials was better.Generally,the pH value of nutrient solution was between 5.5 and 6.5,and the wicking height of the polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven material reached the maximum in the nutrient solution of which the pH value was 6 based on the experiments.Therefore,the polyester spunbonded-needling nonwoven materials were better to be used as the medium to transfer plant nutrient solution whose pH value was 6.
