Molecular Genetics and Genetic Diversity of Chinese Alligator,Alligator sinensis

Chinese alligator, Alligator sinensis, is a critically endangered rare species, and comprehensive attention has been paid to the conservation of its genetic resources. This paper reviews the molecular genetics of Chinese alligator including molecular phylogenetics, genetic diversity, population genetic structure, mitochondrial genome, individual identification and sex determination.
