Design of a New Eddy Current Measuring Instrument

Analyzing the traditional eddy current sensor, an NECMI(New Eddy Current Measuring Instrument) for small displacement is presented. Based on the 8031 microcomputer, the numerical eddy current sensor can be applied in the measure of the precise displacement through the realization of the software and hardware design. The experimental results show that this method is effective.
