Optimization of Microwave Extraction Technology of Total Saponins from Stems and Leaves of Panax ginseng

To make full use of stems and leaves of P.ginseng,the optimum microwave extraction technology of total saponins(TS) from them was discussed taking TS extraction efficiency as evaluating indicators.The extraction process was optimized with single factor and orthogonal design methods.The results showed that the optimum conditions of extracting TS from stems and leaves of P.ginseng were as follows: the concentration of extraction solvent ethanol 80%,extracting time 10 min,extracting temperature 70℃,solid-liquid ratio 1∶25(g∶mL) and extracting four times with the microwave power of 600 w.The average extraction efficiency of TS was 8.81% under the optimum condition.
