Reconstruction of Interacting Curved Solids from Orthogonal Three Views

When two curved solids intersect with each other,their projection profiles are disturbed and the intersection lines arising from the intersecting quadric surfaces are mostly higher order spatial curves.The higher order spatial curves cannot be described exactly by 2D orthographic projections and normally approximated by smooth curves through several key points or just simplified as arcs or lines.The inexactness of projections of intersection lines results in the invalidation of all previous works on CSG-based approach.This paper presents an algorithm to reconstruct the correct volume of interacting curved solids by recovering the complete and correct half-profile of the interacting solid using the least trace left by the solid.
