【Objective】 To investigate the clinical effects of minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation for the treatment of comminuted tibial fractures.【Methods】 80 patients were randomly divided into two groups: control group and treatment group,40 patients each.Control group received intramedullary nail fixation,while treatment group received minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation.Operation time,hospital stay,fracture healing time and postoperative complications were observed and compared in patients of the two groups.【Results】 The operation time,hospitalization time and healing time were less than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05);4 cases in the treatment group and 5 cases in the control group had complications,with complications occurrence percentage at 10.0% and 12.5% each.Statistical results showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05).【Conclusion】 Compared with intramedullary nail fixation,minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation is an effective treatment for comminuted tibial fractures,with advantages of short surgery and hospitalization time,fast healing,and which could effectively alleviate the suffering of patients.
