With the wide use of optical fiber and cable, it is inevitable to lay optical fiber cable into buildings. Indoor optical fiber cable therefore comes into being and develops rapidly, which will be the RD hotspot in the field of fiber optic cable and has a good market prospect. Indoor fiber optic cable features simple structure, low price, flame retardant, being easy to tap and connect etc. So it is necessary to research indoor fiber optic cable on its structure, material, standards, testing methods and so on. In this paper, indoor fiber optic cables are briefly introduced, then their typical structures and relative applications are discussed, and finally the production equipment, standards and testing methods for indoor fiber optic cables are simply analyzed.
