Therapeutic effects of Tongluoyishentang for diabetic peripheral neuropathy in rats

OBJECTIVE To study the therapeutic effects of Tongluoyishentang for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. METHODS The models of diabetes of rats were made by Streptozotocin (STZ). 12 weeks after, rats in diabetic treatment group were given Tongluoyishentang 78.0 mL/kg for 4 weeks. The peripheral neuropathy of rats were observed under transmission electronic microscope. RESULTS The diabetic sciatic neuropathy of rats was significantly improved by Tongluoyishentang. CONCLUSION Tongluoyishentang has therapeutic effects for diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
