Process Parameters Influencing Cell Structure of Injection Molded Microcellular Polypropylene

Injection molding microcellular polypropylene with expandable PP bead was introduced.The effects of cell nucleator,chemical blowing agent,chemical crosslinking system and process technological parameters on cell structural morphology of microcellular polypropylene in injection molding were studied.The results show that adjusting those parameters,microcellular polypropylene foam of mean cell size smaller than 1 μm and cell density larger than 1×10 10 cell/cm 3 is produced by injection molding.
