The tooth-colored inlays in posterior teeth have increased significantly in recent years. Both indirect composite resins and ceramics are being used for esthetic inlay. The indirect composite resin inlays are esthetic,easy to be fabricated,low elastic modulus similar to dentin and lack of abrasion to opposed teeth. The retention and strength are very important in composite resin inlay design.
