Rheological behaviour of maleic anhydride graft polypropylene is measured at high temperature (250~260℃) and high shear rate (100~500 s~(-1)) by capillary rheometer. Its spinnability is studied on melt spinning machine. The results show that the shear viscosity of maleic anhydride graft polypropylene is higher than that of polypropylene at low shear rate, while lower at higher shear rate. The viscometric flow activation energy of maleic anhydride graft polypropylene is higher a little than polypropylene and gets higher with the increase of graft degree. Maleic anhydride graft polypropylene can be spinned well at 250~260℃.
