摘要
The Epilachninae ladybird beetles belong to Coleoptera, Coccinellidae. 75 species in this subfamily have been recorded from Yunnan Province. Faunal analysis shows that this subfamily in China is mainly composed of Oriental Region fauna. Of 29 total species identified, 20 species, accounting for 69%, are distributed in the Oriental Region. Eight species or 27% are in the Palaearctic-Oriental Region. Only one species or 3.4% is distributed across the Palaearctic-Oriental-Australian Region. Epilachninae has an abundance of species. Of the 29 known species, 15 species were in the genus Epilachna, 7 species in Henosepilachna, 1 species in Afidenta, 4 species in Afissula, and 2 species in Afidentula. The mid-altitudes of 1 200-2 000 m is the most abundant range with 20 species. Fifteen species are distributed at a higher altitude of over 2 000 m and 12 species inhabit the low altitudes below 1 200 m. There are 3 endemic species in Yunnan Province: E. clematicola Cao et Xiao, E. parainsignis Pang et Mao and E. jianchuanensis Cao et Xiao. Three are widespread species: H. vigintioctopunctata (Fabricius), H. vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky), and Afissula misera (Weise). Documented host plants of the phytophagous ladybirds include 40 species belonging to 11 families; 19 host plants recorded in this study were new.
