摘要
A novel two-step synergetic strategy is proposed, i.e., using an eco-friendly methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) to prepare superhydrophobic wood by immersion-spraying method. The wood samples were first immersed in MTMS solution followed by spraying with pre-condensed MTMS-based oligomeric species. The as-prepared superhydrophobic wood was proved to have excellent water resistance, dimensional stability, surface durability and self-cleaning peculiarity. The developed strategy offers a new reference for superhydrophobic modification of 3D-porous materials.
