摘要
Breast cancer is a potentially fatal malignancy. This form of cancer is the most common among Western women. Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease. Clinically, one can classify it based on biomarker expression (e.g. estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and HER-2 expression). Triple negative breast cancer is a unique type where the tumors are negative for estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and HER-2 expression which results in a more aggressive biology and treatment approach.
