GSH-triggered release of sulfur dioxide gas to regulate redox balance for enhanced photodynamic therapy

Herein, a promising strategy is explored to regulate redox balance in tumor cells by simultaneously consuming GSH and releasing SO₂ gas for enhanced photodynamic therapy.
