This paper presents a study of the effect of magnetic material parameters and microstructure on macroscopic magnetic properties with the open-source soft-ware for micromagnetic calculations OOMMF. Micromagnetic calculations are carried out using direct energy minimization. The effect of cell size, easy axis, exchange, and anisotropy on hysteresis loop parameters have been studied. Results show that the easy axis orientation has the greatest impact on coercivity, followed by cell size. In the case of randomized anisotropy, an increase in the exchange energy parameter resulted in slightly higher coercivity in comparison to the default value while the change in the anisotropy constant did not show any discernible effect on the material configuration studied.
