Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common, progressive form of nonscarring hair loss, affecting both men and women. Its pathogenesis is largely driven by androgenic factors, including elevated dihydrotestosterone (DHT), leading to follicular miniaturization. While FDA-approved treatments like minoxidil and finasteride are standard, off-label therapies and emerging treatments continue to evolve.
