摘要
The antenna is a key component of the radio frequency (RF) front end of a communication system. This chapter reviews the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in antenna design. We discuss the applications of various AI techniques such as evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, and knowledge representation ontologies. These applications range from antenna design to antenna feature evaluation in a rapidly expanding field. We then summarize the challenges of new AI techniques in antenna design based on the current state-of-the-art and provide predictions for future research directions.
