摘要
To the Editor: Deep male urethral condyloma acuminata (MUCA) remains an intractable problem in clinical practice. Because of the deep anatomical location, topical drug therapy, surgical treatment, or holmium laser are all restricted, with high recurrence rates and potentially severe complications such as urethral stenosis and urethral perforation. Five-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) has demonstrated high efficacy, good safety, and low recurrence in MUCA in previous studies.1,2 However, improper delivery of photosensitizers or inaccurate illumination may affect the treatment outcome of ALA-PDT in deep MUCA.
