Studies in Thiadiazoles: Part VI. Synthesis of some 2-Substituted-5-Mercapto-1,3,4-Thiadiazoles and Related Compounds

Several 2-substituted-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazoles have been synthesised. Their sodium salts have been condensed with appropriate alkyl and aralkyl halides and the resultant sulphides oxidised to corresponding sulphones. These compounds are expected to display pesticidal activity
