Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are porous organic-inorganic hybrid crystalline materials with exceptional structural diversity (e.g., pore structure, volume, and surface area) owing to theoretically unlimited metal and organic constituent combinations. Thus, the diversity has naturally led MOFs to be vigorously examined for separation applications such as adsorption and membrane-based separations. This contribution puts focus on the elucidation of propylene-selective MOF membrane synthesis techniques and membrane performance enhancement strategies, which is a part of my PhD works, and future direction will be proposed.
