Ankylosing Spondylitis and Regional Enteritis

A review of 200 randomly selected cases of regional enteritis revealed 6 cases of overt ankylosing spondylitis and 14 others with abnormal sacroiliac joints. Sex distribution was equal in both groups. In 14 of the cases of spondylitis, the disease was limited to the small bowel, indicating no correlation with colonic involvement.
