摘要
Abstract A first-stage NiCl2 graphite intercalation compound (GIC) was prepared using very fine natural graphite powder under a high chlorine pressure and at high temperature. A second-stage NiCl2-GIC was also prepared on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG). The structure of the compounds consists of NiCl2 layers inserted between the graphene ones. It is shown that the magnetic behaviour is three dimensional for both compounds. The ordering temperature decreases with the stage due to the increase of the interlayer distance.
