At present, two selective BRAF inhibitors (dabrafenib and vemurafenib) and one MEK inhibitor (trametinib) are FDA-approved for treating stage IV BRAFV600E -mutated metastatic melanoma. Single-agent dabrafenib but not vemurafenib has been tested against combination dabrafenib/trametinib.
