摘要
A multifunctional dye, 4-(4-hydroxy-1-naphthylazo)benzenesulfonic acid was identified and synthesized and used to determine trace Fe 3+ in three real environmental water samples. The mechanism of action between the dye and Fe 3+ ion is discussed in detail.
