Determination of Hydroxyl Value in the Oxidation Product of Rosin and Study on Its Methods

[Objective]The research aimed to determinate the hydroxyl value in the oxidation product of rosin,and analyze its producers.[Method]The acetylation method was used to determinate the hydroxyl value in the oxidation product of rosin firstly,and discuss some influencing factors during determination.[Result]The hydroxyl value in oxidation product of rosin was high,showing there were more hydroxide radical during rosin oxidation.[Conclusion]To establish the determination method of hydroxyl value in the oxidation product of rosin is of help to deep processing of rosin.
