Methods and application of directed enzyme evolution

The history,principle,methods and applications of directed enzyme evolution are reviewed in this article,and the questions met in the procedure of directed enzyme evolution are further discussed.Several representative methods,such as error prone PCR and DNA shuffling,and successful samples are introduced.Meanwhile,the development of directed enzyme evolution is also prospected.
