Aimed at the blindness and unpredictability of the mechanical system preventive maintenance cycle,in order to control the parts failures effectively in mechanical system,ensure the availability of mechanical system and save maintenance cost,the method for determining the preventive maintenance cycle of multi-components mechanical system is studied.The allowable availability is selected as constraint,the maintenance cost is identified as optimization objective,the preventive maintenance cycle is as optimal variable,and the optimization model is set up.The mechanical system failure distribution following Weibull distribution is optimized by simulation and the optimal preventive maintenance cycle of system is obtained.The impact of maintenance cost on preventive maintenance cycle is expounded,thus proving that the method is effective and feasible.
