Research Progress in Fouling Control of Ultrafiltration Membrane

As a new purification technology of micro-polluted raw water,the ultrafitration combined with other conventional treatment technologies attracts more and more widespread attention and becomes a hot issue in drinking water treatment,and also provides a choice for rural and small town water plants. However,the membrane fouling in ultrafiltration is a great obstacle problem which restricts its widespread popularization and application in actual projects. The new progresses in ultrafiltration membrane fouling control in recent years are summed up,which include the mechanisms and various factors that affect membrane fouling in ultrafiltration,the technologies for membrane fouling prevention and control,the membrane cleaning methods and so on. The future research emphases and directions of membrane fouling in ultrafiltration are put forward.
