Objective To discuss the relationships and effects on leptin and adpionectin with gestational diabetes mellitus and gestational impaired glucose tolerance. Methods 68 pregnant women were divided into 3 groups(gestational diabetes mellitus group, gestational impaired glucose tolerance group and normal glucose tolerance group)according to the screening result of blood glucose test and 75 g oral glucose overload test. Meanwhile, concentration of leptin and adpionectin was determined. Results Leptin levels of gestational diabetes mellitus group and gestational impaired glucose tolerance group were higher than normal tolerance group (P0.05), but adpionectin levels of the prior two groups were lower than normal diabetes group (P0.05). There was no significant difference between the prior two groups(P0.05).Leptin levels had positive correlation with the morbidities of gestational diabetes mellitus and gestational impaired glucose tolerance while adpionectin levels were negative. Conclusion Leptin and adpionectin levels have predictive value for gestational diabetes mellitus and gestational impaired glucose tolerance.
