The aim of this study was to investigate the long-term pacing threshold of active fixation lead in right ventricular inlet septal pacing compared to passive fixation in right ventricular apex.Fifty-two patients received dual-chamber pacemaker. The patients were subdivided into two group according to the type of ventricular lead:group 1(23 patients, pacesetter 1388 active lead)and group 2(29 patients, pacesetter 1474 passive lead).Stimulation thresholds were assessed for both 1/2 month,1 month,3 months,6 months,12 months,18 months and 24 months after implantation. There was no significant difference between the two groups. Thus, the results suggest that active fixation lead in right ventricular inlet septal is feasible.
