The modification research development and it's structure of lithium ion battery cathode material cobalt oxide were reviewed.After analyzing the disadvantages of lithium cobalt oxide such as high cost,toxicity and the actual specific capacity which is only half of the theoretical value,it described further improvement of the lithium performance with doping.
