To discuss the maintenance of T cell memory, we set up a nonlinear theoretical model based on the parallel differentiation hypothesis of memory T cell. Using this model, we got three typical modes of responses with respect to different invading antigenic doses. The main results are as follows. Under the conditions that the invading antigenic doses are optimal and the antigen remain in the individual, the memory can maintain a rather long period. The losing of the antigen implies the losing of immune memory. In the present paper, “memory is introduced and the relation between the memory strength and the remaining antigenic doses has been studied. The influence of the lifespan of memory T cell on immune memory has also been explored. The immune memory behavior in vitro has been predicted.
