OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of microbial ferment on bacterial translocation under FK506.METHODS A total of 84 healthy male Wistar rats weighing 180g to 220g were divided randomly into control group,immunosuppression group and prevention group.The positive rates of bacterial culture to detect bacterial translocation in liver and mesenteric lymph nodes and intestinal mucosal lesion scores among three groups were compared and analyzed.RESULTS Compared with control group,the positive rates of bacterial culture from organ on the 5th(28.57%) day and 7th day(42.86%) and intestinal mucosal lesion scores at all time points were significantly higher in immunosuppression group(0,0),respectively(P0.05).Compared with immunosuppression group,the positive rates of bacterial culture from organ and intestinal mucosal lesion scores on the 3rd,5th and 7th day were significantly lower in prevention group,respectively(P0.05).CONCLUSION FK506 can cause damage to intestinal epithelia,disrupt intestinal mechanical barrier,increase intestinal permeability and result in bacterial translocation.The use of microbial ferment can mitigate damage of intestinal epithelium caused by FK506,protect intestinal barrier function and decrease intestinal permeability and the rate of bacterial translocation.
