The Process Mineralogy of Tungsten from a Copper-sulfur Tailings

This paper studies the process mineralogy of copper-sulfur tailings through chemical analysis,microscope,advanced Automatic Quantitative Mineral Technology MLA.The results indicate that the tungsten content in the tailings is 0.23 %,which meets the comprehensive utilization requirements.The major mineral in the tailings is scheelite in addition to small amount of wolframite.The theoretical WO3 grade and tungsten recovery rate of the tailings are 79.41 % and 84 %,respectively.However,the theoretical tungsten recovery rater is about 81 % if recovering scheelite only.
