MODIFIED MTT COLORIMETRY FOR DETERMINATION OF RECOMBINANT INTERLEUKIN 2 ACTIVITY

In the improved colorimetry for recombinant interleukin-2 (γIL-2), the formazan in mitochondria of CTLL_2 cells is dissolved in 10% SDS-5%isobutanol-0.01 mol/L HCl to offer a more stable purple solution with OD_(570)value hardly changing at least a few days. The correlation coefficient betweenthe results of this method and ~3H-TdR incorporation method is 0.991 (p0.01).
