Pyrogen reaction of baicalin

Objective To investigate the relation between the quality of baicalin production and the pyrogen.Methods The content of baicalin was determined by HPLC and the quality of baicalin was investigated with rabbit pyrogen test method.Results Highly pure baicalin did not showed pyrogen reaction.Conclusion The impurity in baicalin is the material that causes the pyrogen.
