Determination of Trace Arsenic in "Eight famous kinds of traditional Chinese medicine in Zhejiang province" by Microwave-Digestion Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometric

Objective: To establish a kind of the Microwave-Digestion Atomic Absorption Spectrometry method for determination of As in Eight famous kinds of traditional Chinese medicine in Zhejiang province.Method:A microwave digestion procedure was developed for the determination of trace As by using the MK-Ⅲ microwave digestion system,and the amounts of As elements were determined by atomic fluorescence spectrometry after microwave digestion.Result: The optimized conditions of microwave digestion procedure were as follows: the volume ratio of HNO3—HCl is 10∶2;the digestion power is 300 W;the digestion time is 5 min;the ratio of solid /liquid is 1∶14.It is satisfactoty to apply the microwave digestion procedure to the determination of As under the optimized condition with the recovery of 98.59% to 104.1% and RSD of 0.595% to 3.016%.Conclusion: This method is rapid and simple with low environmental contamination and complete digestion of the sample.
