To create a fair ship hull is one of the major requirements in any ship design process and Computer Aided Ship Design environment. In general, the existing details of a ship available as ship lines can't provide sufficient accuracy in order to achieve a faired hull. The present research work is part of designing of a software 'STABLE SHIP' and is devoted to designing a method for faired ship surface generation using both of the sections and waterlines of ship. Since NURBs is widely used by ship design software such as Tribon and Maxsurf, as being reliable and most accurate method, the present work also emphasizes on use of NURBs ruled surface method for generation of surface. A prototype self constructed method named as 'Cross-Fix Method' for surface generation is also proposed. 3D interpolation is used for generation and merging of 3D curves such as upper deck side line. Comparison is made with the results. The faired ship hull is then used for further assessment such as initial and large angle intact stability and the results are compiled.
