Solid oxide fuel cells for ammonia synthesis and energy conversion

NH 3 is synthesized via EPOC in SOFC. Thus, electricity and ammonia can be simultaneously generated by supplying fuel and humidified air. The highest rate of ammonia, 8.6 × 10 -9 mol cm −2 s −1 , is achieved with CH 4 and air with 14% H 2 O at 730 °C.
