摘要
Coptis chinensis Franch is a plant from the Ranunculaceae family that has been traditionally used to treat jaundice, digestive system diseases, and damp-heat syndromes. This study aims to review the current literature on the use of Huanglian in the treatment of jaundice and to explore its molecular mechanism. Bibliometric and network pharmacology approaches were utilized to analyze the relevant publications and identify the key compounds and targets involved in Huanglian's therapeutic effects. The inhibitory effect of C. chinensis alkaloids inflammation is the research trend and hotspot. The main active components, including (R)-canadin, berberrubine, coptisine, magnograndiolide, and palmatine, may act on targets related to PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, and human cytomegalovirus infection. The results suggest that Huanglian's beneficial effects on jaundice may be due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and hepatoprotective mechanisms. This study provides valuable insights into the potential use of Huanglian as a natural alternative for the treatment of jaundice.
