[Health literacy: a new perspective of cancer prevention and control].

In the past decade, the incidence and mortality of malignant tumors in China have been growing as a serious public health problem. Health literacy is closely related to the individual cancer risk awareness, early cancer symptom recognition, cancer screening behavior, treatment compliance, disease self-management ability and outcome. It also has an important impact on the occurrence, development and outcome of cancer and plays an important role in the tertiary cancer prevention. This issue focuses on the consciousness of cancer prevention, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, as well as the demand of and access to the cancer prevention and treatment knowledge, and could provide reference for cancer prevention and control in urban residents.近年来，我国癌症的发病率和死亡率持续增长，成为一个严重的公共卫生问题。健康素养与个体的癌症风险意识、癌症早期症状识别、癌症筛查行为、治疗依从性、疾病自我管理能力和癌症转归密切相关，对癌症的发生、发展及结局有重要影响，在癌症三级预防的各个环节均发挥着积极作用。本期重点号对城市居民的癌症预防意识，早发现、早诊断和早治疗意识，以及肿瘤防治知识需求及获取途径等进行了研究，为开展城市居民癌症防控提供参考依据。.
