SUMMARYThe results of this study show that for 55 Tennessee farms, averaging 53,523 layers per farm annually, the production cost averaged 26·4 cents per dozen eggs.Among farms, cost of producing eggs ranged from 21·5 to 45·8 cents per dozen. Production cost ranged from 25·2 cents per dozen for 19 farms averaging under 27 cents per dozen to 31·8 cents for 18 farms averaging 30 cents or more per dozen.
