Purification of potato starch wastewaters after ozone preoxidation by Geotrichum candidum were investigated. SCP can be obtained from culturing Geotrichum candidum. Optimzation of process parameters of culturing were studyed to purifify potato starch wastewaters. On the basis of single-factor test, orthogonal designs L9(34) were adopted for optimization of process parameters. The results showed that the optimal parameters were: adding 0.1 %(NH4)2HPO4, 0.1 % glucose into the wastewater and inoculation amount of 7.5 % and culturing Geotrichum candidum within pH=5. Under the experimental condition, COD value was 236.600 mg/L and can be permitted to discharge culturing Geotrichum candidum by 40 h. Dry SCP got from wastewater was 236.600 mg/L with 25.67 % protein in it.
